E-CAR-SHARING & E-BUS-SYSTEMS

The affordable decarbonization of transport systems requires to electrify all appropriate vehicle types within a few years. This implies a close integration of electric vehicle fleets and charging infrastructures in the management of local utility distribution grids.

The second generation of electric cars with larger batteries coming into the market in 2017 will increase the demand for fast charging stations and higher charging currents worldwide. In many cases, additional buffer storage facilities in distribution grids will become economical options, as they can deliver multiple co-benefits and services to the grid (load balancing, load shifting etc.).

Moreover, electric vehicle sharing and e-bus-systems will be pushed by many governments of densely populated cities worldwide in order to reduce harmful air pollutants and to use public space much more efficiently.

Next Solar Concepts advises on all technical, financial and operational questions relating to the establishment of E-Car-Sharing and E-Bus-Systems and closely cooperates with experienced technology and utility partners.
